As one of the UK’s leading independent tyre wholesalers, we really shouldn’t have a favourite. But guess what… we really do. It’s admittedly a close call, but the 18x8.50-8 Redwing Turf 24 holds a particularly special place in our affections.
Why? As well as being the first tyre we manufactured under our own Redwing brand, it is also one of the best turf tyres around and, in 18x8.50-8, it is without doubt one of the most versatile. This size of tyre fits a wide range of vehicles and machines, from the Ferris Hydrowalk to the John Deere X950.
What makes our Turf 24 truly special, however, is that it offers something unique, the best of both worlds. With shoulder rubber thicker than any other similar tyre, it means we have been able to make the tread shallower there – thereby minimising turf damage, giving you grip where you need it and maximising puncture resistance at the same time. It brings an end to that perennial grounds maintenance dilemma – do you opt for tyres that will give you good grip but risk marking your precious turf, or tyres that won’t mark turf but equally don’t provide good grip?
